I first came across the Calmer, Easier, Happier, parenting approach when my first child was 2 years old and started to say “No” to everything. I was fortunate to start attending parenting skills classes at the New Learning Centre in London, and this transformed my own parenting and that of my husband. I became passionate about being able to help other families benefit from the Calmer, Easier, Happier approach in the same way that my family had benefited.
I moved with my family to Vancouver, Canada in 2005. I now work as a Family Counselor for the Vancouver Family Preservation and Reunification Services, which provides intensive counseling, teaching of parenting skills and support to families who have child protection issues.
I also have a private practice where I teach parenting skills to families via in-home visits, private parents sessions, telephone or email.
I have been told by the families I work with that I have a gift for teaching parenting skills in a way that is inclusive, personal, and supportive. I am a mother of 3 children.
