Putting the strategies of Calmer, Easier, Happier Parenting into practice.

Using the Calmer, Easier, Happier strategies and seeing the positive results on family life is easy after attending a seminar. What's challenging is keeping the skills "alive" and knowing what to use when. All training takes time and a lot of practice. The CEHP skills are not always intuitive, but they work and do become second nature with practice! That's where the monthly discussion groups come in to support parents.

The purpose of the meeting is to share successes and challenges and to get ideas from others who are using these strategies and seeing positive results. Laura Fleming, CEHP Director of Programs for Los Angeles, facilitates the discussion. These are solution-focused dialogues about how to improve our children's cooperation, confidence, self-reliance, motivation and consideration using the Calmer, Easier, Happier techniques. Parents who regularly attend tell us that the seminars and discussion groups have transformed their family life.
